Similarly, the antenna, designed for repeaters and mobile devices, integrates semiconductor and display materials, considering their characteristics for high efficiency and gain.By controlling the utilized semiconductor and display materials, the antenna enables to transmission of the signal in the desired direction.
The proposed Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) and antenna incorporate semiconductor processes and display materials to integrate active components into unit cells and antennas. In the RIS, these elements are utilized to integrate active components into unit cells, allowing electrical control for the transmission and reflection of RF signals in desired directions. Similarly, the integration of antennas with active components allows for beam steering in the desired direction without the need for a phase shifter. Implementing reconfigurable components in the middle of the RIS and antenna fabrication process not only enhances performance but also simplifies the manufacturing process.
